The Professor from The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin has Completed His Research at EIU
Mr prof. dr hab. Wojciech Lis from The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin has been undertaking a research on the topic of “Freedom of speech and activity of mass media in the Republic of Armenia” while on a scientific internship within the framework of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange Program called “Cooperation Program between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Poland in the fields of culture, science and education for years 2015-2018”.
Within the research, Mr prof. dr hab. Wojciech Lis had meetings with Avetik Ishkhanyan, President of Armenian Helsinki Committee, Boris Navasardyan, President of Yerevan Press Club, Shushan Doydoyan, Director of Freedom Of Information Center, Mesrop Movsisyan, President of A1+” TV Company, Mikayel Khachatryan, Head of International Cooperation Department of Human Rights Defender’s Office, Emma Hakobyan, Head of the Division of Public Relations and Advertising of Public TV Company Of Armenia. Within the framework of the research, Professor Lis has reviewed the mass media activity and journalists’ work, conducted analysis of normative legal acts.
“I am grateful for the invitation and acceptance for the scientific internship. The EIU employees proved their great help in verifying scientific materials and organizing meetings with representatives of organizations dealing with mass media. In my free time, I discovered Yerevan and Armenia for myself. Thanks to the internship I could see many interesting places, meet new people, gain new experience, and learn that there is also a Polish minority here.” said Professor Lis.
The results of the research will be published in the “Banber” bulletin of the Eurasia International University.
