Students Who Have Participated in the Erasmus + Exchange Program at a Round Table

On April 19, 2018 the EIU International Relations and Research Center initiated a round-table discussion with the students who had participated in the 2017-2018 Erasmus + exchange program – Mariam Jilavyan, Siranush Baghdasaryan, Nare Grigoryan (Management Master’s Degree course, 1st year) and Armen Petrosyan (Management Master’s Degree course, 2nd year).

At the meeting the students talked about their host Universities, their specific features, structures, curricula, teaching and assessment methods, as well as the procedures in organising and conducting training and exams. The specific aspects of online learning in different universities became a highlight of a separate discussion.

The students shared their experience with great enthusiasm, speaking about the obstacles they had to overcome before their travel and during their stay, they talked about their current achievements and, looking back at the road they had covered, they encouraged the students interested in international exchange programs to be more active and assertive and to participate in exchange programs.

The students also suggested that EIU adopted the mentorship practice. They expressed their willingness to be mentors for those who are going to study abroad and to provide assistance in everything from document filling to acquainting them with the academic and cultural life and social values of the host countries and universities. Thus, the mentorship program will support not only foreigners attending the university, but also EIU students travelling overseas.
