FAQ

General Questions

The unified exams are held for the current system in two stages: in the first ten days of January, and if the applicant wants to retake the given subject, the exam period starts in the first ten days of June. Distance system exams are held in the second ten days of October of the given year.

Prospective applicants for each grade are required to submit their application forms electronically through the Evaluation and Testing Center (ETC) website, indicating their desired entrance exam and specialization. Additionally, applicants must transfer AMD 1,500 for each subject they intend to take for the joint exam to the designated ETC account.

During the admission application process, applicants have the flexibility to declare their preferred professions in any sequence, considering both the existing free and paid education systems. According to the admission guidelines, each applicant can participate in the competition for up to two free and up to eight paid specializations across one or more universities, provided that the examination subjects for the chosen specializations align.

It’s important to note that each applicant is restricted to submitting only one admission application. Furthermore, individuals with secondary, pre-vocational, or secondary vocational education qualifications can be admitted to universities without any age restrictions.

Unified exams for the current system are conducted in two stages: the first stage occurs within the initial ten days of January. For those applicants wishing to retake specific subjects, a second exam period is scheduled within the first ten days of June.

For the distance learning system, exams are scheduled during the second ten days of October each year.

The admission contests for both free and paid education programs are conducted in two stages: main and additional.

During the competition for professions, priority is given to the application for the free or paid education of the profession listed first on the admission application. If applicants do not succeed in the competition for their initially declared profession, subsequent competitions are held according to the order of professions listed in the admission application, provided there are vacancies in those professions. Once an applicant is admitted to any profession as per their application order, they are not eligible to participate in the competition for subsequent declared professions.

The results of the main round of both free and paid undergraduate admissions are typically summarized by July 20 of the given year. These results are officially approved by the Republican Admissions Commission, following which the university’s rector issues a decree to notify the students of their admission status.

The admissions process for foreign applicants at EIU (Eurasia International University) follows specific regulations outlined in the decree on “Students with Foreign Citizenship” issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia. Here’s an overview of the process:

Admissions Process: Foreign applicants follow regulations specified in the decree. Upon admission to the preparatory department at EIU, the university initiates the visa application process.

Visa Application: EIU applies to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia to obtain a visa for the admitted student. Once the permit is secured, the student can proceed to apply for a single-entry visa at the Armenian embassy in their home country or a neighbouring country.

Visa Issuance: Armenian visas are typically issued by the Armenian embassy in the applicant’s country of citizenship or a neighbouring country. Visa fees are waived for applicants under the age of 18.

Visa Upon Arrival: In certain cases, foreign citizens from specific countries have the option to obtain visas upon arrival in Armenia at designated border checkpoints. This process usually takes around 20-25 minutes.

Visa Extension: When the visa expires, applicants must apply for a visa extension at the “Passport and Visa Department” located at Mashtots 13a in Yerevan. It’s essential to note that individuals with expired visas may face fines.

Electronic Visa (E-Visa): Applicants also have the option to obtain an electronic visa (e-visa) before their arrival by applying through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia’s website.

For more detailed information on visa authorization and specific requirements, it’s advisable to visit the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

This process ensures that foreign applicants to EIU comply with Armenian visa regulations and obtain the necessary permits for their studies.

Exchange Programs

Eurasia International University’s International Relations and Research Center offers free study abroad opportunities to 8-10 EIU students every semester.

As a result of the cooperation of EIU and European universities, exchange grant programs are regularly available at the following universities:

  1. ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALONIKI, GREECE
  2. WARSAW UNIVERSITY OF LIFE SCIENCES,
  3. WARSAW SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS,
  4. MASARYK UNIVERSITY OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC
  5. MYKOLAS ROMERIS UNIVERSITY OF VILNIUS,
  6. VILNIUS STATE UNIVERSITY (VILNIUS UNIVERSITY)
  7. THE SAPIENZA UNIVERSITY OF ROME, formally the Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza”
  8. UNIVERSITY OF TERAMO
  9. UNIVERSIDADE DE SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

Exchange programs offer free tuition and a monthly allowance of 700-800 euros to cover living and other expenses. Additionally, travel expenses are covered by the host institution. Although working during the study period is not necessary, if a student wishes to gain work experience, they may discuss this with the host university as each country has unique laws.

The host university offers a dormitory, but students are free to choose their accommodation (our students who participated in those programs preferred the option of renting an apartment).

Participation in our university’s exchange programs necessitates that students return upon completion of the program, and a formal agreement outlining this requirement is signed by the participant in an agreement.

To contact students who have previously participated in similar exchange programs, you may submit a request to the Center of International Relations and Research of the EIU. Upon receiving permission from the students, we will provide their contact information to you.

English language requirements vary depending on the exchange program and host university. Typically, a B2 level of English proficiency is required. Some host universities require a general reference which may involve a language proficiency test conducted by the Chair of Foreign Languages and Literatures at EIU. Alternatively, some universities have a specific reference form which can be completed by the student’s English language teacher.

Exchange porgrams offered by the EIU are only available to students who have completed their general education and are currently enrolled in their second year or beyond of undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate studies at the EIU.

Yes, but the EIU can not provide any support in this matter. However, previous experience gained during the exchange program may be useful and in some cases, taken into account.
